3D circular explosion

In order to validate the Gales code on the shock wave propagation in multi-dimentions, a 3D circular explosion case is considered.

The initial conditions in terms of primitive variables are:

where Rs = 0.5 is the surface separating the inner and outer states.

The domain is the box [-1, 1]3, and the Dirichlet boundary conditions are applied everywhere.

The final time is t = 0.25 s.

The comparison of results of density, pressure and velocity along a radius against the reference solution is depicted below.

The space-time evolution of density contours for [0.2, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9] kg/m3 is traced in the video.
